Donations to The Village at Incarnate Word

The Village

The Village at Incarnate Word is a non-profit, 501 (C) 3 organization qualified to received charitable gifts that are tax deductible.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated to support current and future needs of our community.

The vision for The Village at Incarnate Word is rooted in faith in God and a conviction that the vitality of our community requires concerned individuals who respond compassionately to the needs of others.  This vision derives from our founders, The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, who first answered a call for help in San Antonio by building the Santa Rosa Infirmary in 1869, when a terrible epidemic of cholera threatened the lives of many citizens. The Sisters’ continuing service in health care, education, and social service spans over 135 years.

Along with your support, The Village at Incarnate Word responds to the changing needs of our senior community.  We are challenged to prepare now to support and sustain quality care in the San Antonio community for years to come. The capacity to serve will be strengthened by staying true to our vision while finding the resources necessary to continue offering an unparalleled level of care to the San Antonio community.

There are a variety of methods to support The Village at Incarnate Word, its mission and initiatives.  We invite you to partner with us in this exciting endeavor:

CCVI Legacy Fund - The purpose of the CCVI Legacy Fund is to assist The Village at Incarnate Word in offering charitable rent subsidies to residents who become unable to pay for all of their accommodations/care, and by offering sliding scale fees for in-home services through Sisters Care at the Village. This allows residents and clients the opportunity to continue living in a familiar, safe setting.

Sisters Care at the Village - Sisters Care provides loving, personalized, life enriching in-home care for the elderly, focusing on helping persons remain in their homes by providing supportive services. Sisters Care promotes dignity and provides access to spiritual, personal, social and emotional care regardless of financial situation.  Sisters Care offers financial assistance on a sliding scale basis to prospective and current clients who are unable to pay for all of their services/care.

City-wide Outreach - Our expanded vision includes new partnerships in the community, allowing us to enhance our current programs in education, wellness, and health promotion.  Programs for elders, family members and caregivers will bring needed services to city community centers and churches/parishes in underserved and low-income areas.

Monsignor Thomas French Spiritual Life Fund - Proceeds from this fund support spiritual programs and services at The Village at Incarnate Word and spiritual services through our outreach programs.
